Each student is automatically emailed a unique username and password that they use every time they enter their training.

This applies to all user types.

What if a user forgets their password?

Each user has a set of security questions that are initialised the first time they enter GoTrain LMS. If a user forgets their password, they simply enter these security questions and their log in details are sent to them via email.

It is impossible for learners to cheat in the GoTrain LMS platform.

Assessments draw their questions from an assessment bank, this means that no two assessments are alike, ie all assessment questions are delivered randomly and all multiple choice answers are arranged randomly.

You may have 20 assessment questions but only require 10 to be answered, this means the system will randomly choose 10 questions from the bank of 20 to be shown to each student.

For example, both Johnny and Mary take the same assessment.

Johnny's first question is

What color is the sky?
a) Blue
b) Red
c) Green
d) Yellow

Mary does not get this question until question 3

What color is the sky?
a) Red
b) Yellow
c) Green
d) Blue

As you can see, it is impossible for Johnny to tell Mary the answer to question 1 is a) as Mary does not get this question until question 3. Mary's answer selection is also randomised so for her the answer is d)

Time restrictions for each question may be set within GoTrain LMS assessments and allows you to give your students a particular number of assessments attempts.

Challenge

The unique GoTrain LMS Challenge function removes the need for re-training competent employees. Challenge allows employees to undertake each unit assessment before studying the course to prove their competency. Where the candidate is 100% successful in the challenge assessment, they are certified competent, meeting statutory requirements and satisfying your auditors.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

The GoTrain LMS Learning Management System RPL function is an important tool in further reducing the cost of workplace training whilst meeting all the requirements of the competency-based training guidelines. RPL is the process of identifying competently in a skill or range of skills that meet the assessment criteria of the relevant industry training package. The process is conducted internally and gives certification of formal qualifications, on-the-job experience and life experience, thus reducing a persons training needs.

Prerequisite Support (PRE)

GoTrain LMS supports course prerequisites, whether theory based or practical. The Learning Management System encompasses inbuilt prerequisite functionality to gather and store prerequisite qualifications or completed activities.

Prospective students can purchase their selected courses online!

The GoTrain LMS Learning Management System Payment Gateway connects directly to a bank of choice and will issue a receipt to the student and payment advice email to the course provider.

Administrators can view transactions and print the PDF receipts which each student has received.

Students can also view their invoices and recreate their invoices at any time.

Upon acceptance of payment, students can begin study immediately!

Passwords

Administrators have full control over many password functions through out the GoTrain LMS.

Administrators can control password complexity, days before expiration and user lockouts.

SMS and E-Mail Security Authentication

Security authentication can be sent either by SMS or email and the student only has a preset time, to enter the code received, otherwise access to the system will be denied.

This feature can be provided at several points: at student login, student commencement of a Challenge test, student commencement of an assessment or exam.

This functionality is set by the client. This extra security is in addition to our password and security identification questions.

NOTE: the SMS feature must be activated by GoTrain LMS Pty Ltd at the request of the client.
